Build the skills and repeatable workflow needed to move musical ideas towards complete tracks. This 12-week intermediate pathway is designed for producers who understand the fundamentals but want greater consistency in their workflow, arrangement and ability to finish tracks.
You’ll work from your own laptop and compatible DAW, in a small cohort of 3–4 students at INSYNK Spaces in Malta, with Phynyks.
Intermediate may suit you if: you understand the fundamentals but struggle with arrangement, consistency, workflow or finishing music. If you’re still learning your DAW fundamentals, Beginner Music Production is the better starting point.
The final track matters, but the wider goal is understanding the decisions behind the process so you can apply them to future projects independently. Every programme includes participation in the CUE Malta–Netherlands Artist Pathway.

THE DEVELOPMENT
MOVE FROM KNOWING THE TOOLS TO USING THEM WITH INTENTION.
At Intermediate level, the focus shifts from understanding individual production techniques to making stronger decisions across the complete track.
You will work on developing greater control over arrangement, movement, balance, layering and workflow while learning to identify what is holding unfinished projects back.
The aim is to help you become more consistent in how you evaluate, develop and complete your own music.

COMMON QUESTIONS
HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M READY FOR INTERMEDIATE?
You should already understand the basic functions of your DAW and be comfortable creating musical ideas independently.
The programme is suited to producers who want greater consistency in arrangement, workflow and finishing tracks.
DO I NEED TO HAVE FINISHED MUSIC BEFORE?
Not necessarily.
You should have experience building projects and musical ideas, even if completing tracks consistently is still difficult.
WHAT IF I’M STILL LEARNING MY DAW?
Beginner Music Production may be the better starting point.
WILL I WORK ON MY OWN MUSIC?
Yes.
The programme is designed around developing your own production ability and applying feedback directly to the work you are creating.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 12 WEEKS?
Your final track review and written next-stage priorities help identify what deserves your attention next.
Depending on your development, the next stage may involve continued independent work or more advanced one-to-one production development.
